The Gatherists — Rotterdam Edition | July 8, 2026
Our second edition this July brings us to Rotterdam, a city that has long been close to my heart.
Together with ceramic artist Giulia Cosenza, we welcome you to her new atelier at De Achtertuin, a vibrant creative hub where artists, designers and makers work side by side. Surrounded by Giulia's beautiful ceramic objects — from delicate matcha cups to sculptural works shown in exhibitions around the world — we gather around the table for a morning of conversation, inspiration and connection.
Giulia and I first met five years ago during a photoshoot in my Amsterdam studio. What began as a creative collaboration soon grew into a friendship, built around a shared appreciation for craftsmanship, creativity and thoughtful design. Last year, we hosted our first Gatherists edition together, and I am delighted to gather once again in her creative environment.
One of the things I value most about The Gatherists is bringing together people from different creative backgrounds. Designers, artists, photographers, writers, makers and creative entrepreneurs who may never have met otherwise, yet often discover unexpected similarities, ideas and inspiration through conversation.
